The anime adaptation of Hey's yuri manga, Botan Kamiina, Yoheru Sugata wa Yuri no Hana, also known by its English title Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk, has released a new character visual and trailer. This update features Yaeka Kitamori, a central character voiced by Miyu Tomita. This announcement follows the initial reveal on October 10, 2025, and builds anticipation for the series' premiere in April 2026.

The narrative focuses on Botan Kamiina, a 20-year-old college freshman who exhibits a bolder personality after consuming alcohol. The anime explores themes of friendship and comedic situations, detailing Botan's experiences, particularly her developing relationships with dorm leader Ibuki Tonami and Yaeka Kitamori.

Soigne studio is producing the series, with Takashi Sakuma directing. Kō Yoshinari is responsible for the character designs, and Yūsuke Matsuo and Miyachi are the main animators. Yōko Yonaiyama handles the scriptwriting, while Kana Hashiguchi composes the music. Miyu Tomita's casting as Yaeka Kitamori completes a voice cast that includes Sayumi Suzushiro as Botan, Yoshino Aoyama as Ibuki Tomino, Minako Kotobuki as Kanade Gujō, and Yurina Amami as Akane Yusa.

The original manga by Hey began serialization in 2019 on Akita Shoten’s Manga Cross web platform. Its seventh volume is scheduled for release on October 20, 2025. The introduction of Yaeka Kitamori’s visual further increases excitement for the anime's spring launch. This series combines yuri themes with a humorous and emotional depiction of youth and self-discovery. Viewers can expect a heartwarming and lighthearted anime that addresses themes of friendship, courage, and the challenges of growing up, portrayed through Botan’s adventures and her interactions with her peers.
