Chained Soldier's Highly Anticipated Second Season Arrives January 8

The second season of the dark fantasy anime Chained Soldier (Mato Seihei no Slave) is scheduled to premiere on January 8, 2026. The series will be broadcast in Japan on Tokyo MX, BS Asahi, MBS, and AT-X. For international viewers, the season will be available for concurrent streaming on HIDIVE in North America and the British Isles.

This new season introduces a revised creative team. Animation studios Passione and Hayabusa Film are collaborating on the production. Masafumi Tamura is taking on the role of director, while Keiya Nakano is responsible for character designs. The narrative will focus on the 'Commander Meeting' arc, which is expected to introduce new characters and expand the operational scope of the Anti-Demon Corps.

The voice cast for the second season includes Kana Ichinose as Konomi Tatara, Fairouz Ai as Mira Kamiunten, Manaka Iwami as Bell Tsukiyono, Fuka Izumi as Yakumo Ezo, and Yukana as Fubuki Azuma. Akari Kito will return to voice Kyouka Uzen and will also perform the season's opening theme song, 'Hikari yo, Boku Ni'.

Based on the manga by writer Takahiro and artist Yohei Takemura, which has circulated over 5.5 million copies as of mid-2025, the second season aims to build upon the series' established foundation. Viewers can anticipate a continuation of action sequences, character development, and further exploration of the supernatural setting.
