Leading the unconventional team at Spirytus is Cero, the organization's highly skilled ace known for his efficiency, alongside Shiu, a figure recognized as a true legend within the professional torture world. The company dynamics are further developed by the arrival of two newcomers, Mikke and Hugh, who introduce a fresh perspective to the unsettling environment. The series skillfully employs a relaxed, almost familiar company atmosphere to juxtapose and amplify the brutal nature of their daily tasks, generating a distinct humor that has resonated strongly with manga readers.

The adaptation is being produced by the experienced Studio Diomedéa. Fumitoshi Oizaki directs the series, ensuring the complex and unique tone is maintained, while Hitomi Amamiya oversees the series composition.
