Hyakkano Anime Confirms Highly Anticipated Third Season for 2026 Release

Fans worldwide are anticipating the official confirmation that the anime series, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You, also known as Hyakkano, will return for its third season in 2026. This announcement follows the successful first season in October 2023 and the second season in January 2025, establishing the series as a romantic comedy.
Bibury Animation Studios will continue the production, with director Hikaru Sato leading the creative team. The anime adapts the manga by writer Rikito Nakamura and illustrator Yukiko Nozawa, which has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump since December 2019. The manga currently has 23 volumes, with the 24th volume scheduled for release on December 18, 2025.
The upcoming third season is expected to further explore Rentaro Aijo's romantic life as he continues his quest to find all his soulmates. New characters, including Chiyo Iin and Naddy, will be introduced. Their reveals were accompanied by a new visual and an announcement trailer. The series' combination of romantic comedy and harem dynamics, known for its humor and emotional moments, features a voice cast including Wataru Kato as Rentaro and Kaede Hondo as Hakari Hanazono.

Beyond the anime, Hyakkano's popularity is evident through its merchandising and fan events, such as an exhibition held at the Tokyo Anime Center in Shibuya in June 2024, which displayed the series' characters and visual art. As Bibury Animation Studios prepares for the 2026 release, the production is expected to maintain the animation quality, faithful adaptation, and engaging storytelling that have characterized the series. The ongoing collaboration of the original manga's creative team and the voice cast aims to deliver a consistent viewing experience. The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Love You continues to be a notable example in its genre, combining humor, romance, and visual artistry for a global audience.
