Supernatural Rom-Com 'Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi' Reveals Full Staff, Star-Studded Cast, and Electrifying First PV Ahead of Spring 2026 Premiere!

The anime adaptation of Nonco's manga, 'Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi,' also known as 'Mistress Kanan is Devilishly Easy,' is set to premiere in April 2026. This announcement follows the reveal of key production staff, supporting cast members, and the release of the first full promotional video.

Studio KAI is producing this supernatural romantic comedy. The story focuses on Kanan Takakiyo, a demoness who operates under the guise of a high school disciplinary committee chair. Her objective is to subtly collect human souls. However, her plans are altered when she encounters and develops feelings for a human boy named Yōji Kyōgi. This experience marks Kanan's initial encounter with love, leading to a compelling narrative.

Voice Cast and Production Team

The newly announced voice cast includes Sayumi Suzushiro as Jeanne, an apostle of God; Maki Kawase as Ami, Kanan’s maid; Ayaka Nanase as Nadeko Masurao; Fūka Izumi as Milch Zebul; Hikaru Tōno as Miel Zebul; and Yoshino Nanjō as Lilim Zebul.

Yasushi Muroya, known for his work on 'BASTARD!!' and 'Fairy Tail,' is directing the project, with Hisashi Isogawa serving as assistant director. Rintarō Ikeda is responsible for the series scripts, and Akari Minagawa is designing the characters.

Nonco's original manga began serialization in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in June 2022. Its eleventh volume is scheduled for release on October 17, 2025. The series has gained a dedicated readership due to its blend of romance, supernatural elements, and ecchi humor. The recently released promotional video provides insight into the anime's visual style and tone, suggesting a faithful adaptation of the manga.
