Highly Anticipated 'Yowayowa Sensei' Anime Adaptation Reveals Lead Cast, Key Production Team, and Spring 2026 Premiere

The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Kamio Fukuchi’s popular shounen comedy, Yowayowa Sensei, has released comprehensive production details, confirming its primary voice cast, essential staff members, and official broadcast schedule. This romantic-comedy series is scheduled to premiere in April 2026, promising to deliver the distinct blend of humor, emotional depth, and ecchi elements characteristic of the original manga.
The production is being handled by the acclaimed studio Brain's Base, known internationally for high-quality animation work, including the first season of My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU.
Confirmed Production Staff
The directorial role has been assigned to Hiroshi Ishiodori, whose previous credits include popular titles such as Watashi ga Motete Dousunda. Overseeing the narrative flow and structural integrity is Yoshifumi Fukushima, who is handling series composition following his successful work on Mix: Meisei Story. The visual identity of the series is being crafted by Naoki Aisaka, who serves as the character designer and has significant experience in key animation, notably on Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai.
The musical score for the series will be a collaborative effort between Akifumi Tada, celebrated for scores such as Princess Connect! Re:Dive, and Rina Tayama, known for her contributions to Vampire Dormitory.

Main Voice Cast Announced
The announcement confirmed the voice talents bringing the central characters to life. Kakeru Hatano will voice Akihito Abikura, while Marika Kouno is set to voice the heroine, Hiyori Hiwamura. Kouno’s casting maintains continuity, as she previously voiced the role in the series’ promotional video, a detail welcomed by established fans.
Since its launch in Weekly Shounen Magazine in November 2022, the original manga has developed a dedicated readership. Kodansha continues to publish the physical volumes; Volume 14 was released on September 17, 2025, and Volume 15 is scheduled for release on November 17 of the same year.
Creator Kamio Fukuchi conveyed sincere appreciation for the adaptation process, expressing hope that the televised format will successfully broaden the series’ reach, allowing new viewers to discover and engage with its cast of characters.
