Silver Anniversary Spectacle: Cosplay Mania 2025 Ignites Manila with Unforgettable Fandom Celebration

Cosplay Mania 2025 concluded its three-day event, marking 25 years of cosplay culture in the Philippines. From October 3 to 5, 2025, Halls 1–4 of the SMX Convention Center Manila served as a central hub for fans, adopting an 'Awesome Autumn' theme. The convention attracted a significant number of local and international attendees, who participated in a variety of activities, performances, and fandom celebrations.

Anime Previews and Exclusive Merchandise
Attendees received an exclusive preview of upcoming seasonal anime releases. Featured titles included One Punch Man Season 3, Spy x Family Season 3, and Boku no Hero Academia: Final Season, along with the return of Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray Cour 2 and Ranma 1/2 (2024) 2nd Season. Beyond screenings, a range of exclusive merchandise was available, notably the Metapark Pop-Up Store: ALIEN STAGE, and collectibles from games such as Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail.
Competitions, Special Guests, and Musical Acts
The event hosted competitive elements, including the Cosplay Mania Cup for craftsmanship and the Cosplay Karaoke Cup for vocal talent. Special guests present at the convention included VTubers from HOLOSTARS English – ARMIS, voice actor Jacob Takanashi, and stage actors Kairi Miura and Kosuke Asuma. The musical lineup featured artists such as Octavio, Sangatsu No Phantasia, STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION, TRUE, Unnämed, angela, and Shouta Aoi, who performed concerts for the community.

Organized by Cosplay.PH, Cosplay Mania has been the flagship event for 17 years. Its continued success highlights its role in fostering and expanding fandom culture throughout the Philippines. This annual gathering consistently provides an engaging celebration of Japanese pop culture, integrating it with gaming and performance arts.
