The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie has dropped a new primary color visual featuring Kana Ichikawa and her band, Primary COLOR, just ahead of its February 13 debut in Japan.

This visual provides the first animated look at their live performance, showing Kyotaro’s older sister Kana rocking out on stage with her bandmates. Primary COLOR, fronted by Kana, is central to the film's new original content.
The announcement confirmed Yukari Tamura voices Kana. New stills capture the group backstage in a live house and firing up the crowd during their set, emphasizing a shift from Kana’s usual doting-sister persona to her stage presence.
Momoka Terasawa was confirmed as Akira Momoyama, the drummer nicknamed Momo-chan. Additional visuals introduced guitarist Aoton, who sports a bob cut, and blonde bassist Hinako. Voice actors for Aoton and Hinako have not yet been revealed at the time of reporting.
The film is set to recap the events of the first two TV seasons. It will also incorporate new original animation, highlighted by a significant Kyotaro and Anna Yamada moment alongside the band's concert debut.
Shin-Ei Animation is handling production, with Hiroaki Akagi serving as chief director. Dali Chen is directing the film, working from scripts managed by Jukki Hanada. Kensuke Ushio composed the music. Yorushika’s track, "Akane" (or "Madder"), is confirmed as the theme song.

Following the Japanese premiere, HIDIVE confirmed the US theatrical release schedule. The subtitled version will hit theaters starting February 16, followed by the dubbed version on February 18 in major cities including Los Angeles, New York City, and Chicago.
The movie continues the story of Kyotaro’s awkward middle-school crush on Anna. The original manga by Norio Sakurai has been running since 2018 under Akita Shoten.
